About Us

Our Story

We’re first-time small business owners who started with a simple dream: to open a little Mexican candy store that reminded us of home. But as we began, that small idea blossomed into something so much bigger—La Catrina Mexican Shop became a celebration of culture, identity, and creativity.

Founded in 2023 in Fort Worth, Texas, we’re proud to be a woman-owned, minority-owned, and immigrant-owned business. What started with dulces soon expanded into a colorful collection of handcrafted goods, nostalgic knickknacks, and clever twists on beloved Mexican favorites. Every item in our shop is chosen with heart—made by artisans, inspired by tradition, and full of personality.

We want everyone who walks through our doors to feel a spark of joy and recognition. Whether you’re reconnecting with your heritage or discovering it for the first time, our hope is that you see yourself reflected in the stories our products tell.

La Catrina isn’t just a store—it’s a love letter to our roots, a gathering place for our community, and a growing dream we’re excited to share with you.

Our Promise

At La Catrina Mexican Shop, our promise is simple: to honor culture, build community, and celebrate identity through every item we carry.

We carefully curate and create each product with corazón, so that when you walk through our doors, you feel seen, valued, and connected. Whether you’re embracing your heritage or discovering it for the first time, you’ll find something here that speaks to your story.

We promise to stay rooted in tradition while uplifting our community. As a woman-owned, immigrant-owned, and minority-owned business, we know the power of representation—and we’re proud to be a space where culture is not only preserved, but celebrated.

Thank you for being part of our journey. You are always welcome here.
